Gillian worked in the NHS for 2 years and then moved into private practice in order to be able to specialise in musculo-skeletal medicine and have more time for her patients.

She gained extensive experience in a number of practices both in the UK and abroad before setting up the Abbey Clinic in 1994.

She has worked with numerous international athletes and teams including GB Rowing, Judo, Hockey, and the England football team. She was physiotherapist to the British Equestrian team from 1999 to 2005 attending European and World Championships and the Sydney Olympics.

She has a special interest in Tennis and since 1994 has worked closely with the LTA Junior programmes at Bisham and was involved in the setting up and running of their musculo-skeletal profiling programme.

She is a strong believer in continual professional development and has further training in Cranio-Sacral Therapy, Visceral work, Instrument assisted therapy, Acupuncture, Activation Therapy, TMJ conditions, Vestibular rehabilitation and the treatment of Chronic Pain. She is also a certified JEMS  Practitioner and a Level 2 APOS Clinician.

She enjoys trying to keep fit by running, swimming and cycling.
