15+ years experience
Qualifications: Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy and Personal Training
Level 5 BTEC in Soft Tissue Therapy
My passion for sport led me to undertaking a BSc in Sports and Biological Sciences, where I then went and worked in the Leisure Industry for 8 years.
Realising my passion for manual therapy and sports massage, I gained a diploma in Sports Massage Therapy and Personal Training in 2003 which I have since upgraded to a Level 5 BTEC in Soft Tissue Therapy through the London School of Sports Massage. I have always been keen to invest my time in developing my skills and have undertaken many courses to add different skills to my treatments, with a particular interest in rehabilitation, running biomechanics and postural dysfunction.
Since starting my career, I have not only worked for myself but have also enjoyed been part of a multi-disciplinary team. I have worked with a wide range of clients from recreational to high-performance athletes and rugby and athletics clubs. The challenge of ensuring a client stays fit and healthy and yet achieving their optimum performance through effective recovery, is something I am passionate about.
My more regular clients are office workers, children, and the elderly where I enjoy helping clients by addressing their underlying soft tissue issues and ensuring the client understands the cause and what part they play in their own recovery.
I am passionate about helping people move better, feel better and be able to achieve their goals, whatever they are.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my young family, long walks, Pilates, riding, tennis and am returning to running after an injury! ;)
