Sonja graduated with a 1st class BSc (Hons) Podiatry degree and specialized in musculoskeletal biomechanics after initial NHS experience. She holds an MSc from St Mary’s University, where she also lectured in sport rehabilitation. With a special interest in sports injury rehabilitation, Sonja was part of the London 2012 Olympics Medical Team. Her background as a professional dancer (BPA Dance, 1998) fuels her passion for dance injury rehabilitation, leading to research with leading UK dance companies (including Rambert), publications in the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association, and contributions to The Independent. A registered practitioner on the One Dance UK Medical Practitioners Directory, Sonja is currently pursuing a PhD.
