Even as a student, Sophie aimed for a career in musculoskeletal medicine and sports injuries, first qualifying as a sports massage therapist and gaining practical experience in university sports and with the BUCS rowing team. Her physiotherapy career began in a Liverpool private clinic, where she developed skills in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation, treating a diverse caseload including athletes, musicians (touring with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to Japan), and emergency services personnel. Dedicated to promoting physical activity and return to sport, Sophie's passion is rooted in her own sporting background in rowing, hockey, and skiing.

- Gold medal at National Schools Rowing regatta and British Rowing Championships for three consecutive years
