Musculo Skeletal Profiling
For the past ten years the clinic has been involved with the musculoskeletal profiling of the tennis juniors on the LTA performance programmes and members of our staff have also been involved in screening for many other sports.
What's Involved?
The assessment takes 1 hour and involves the physiotherapist looking at body alignment, muscle imbalance, movement patterns and depending on age maybe growth related problems. There is then a half hour review and discussion on the findings where an appropriate treatment/exercise plan is drawn up.
Why do it?
If you are trying to push your body (whether its young or old) to its limits, then checking that it is working efficiently may help to prevent some over use injuries. Often improving your movement patterns will result in an improvement in your sporting performance as well. For further information on what we do see the attached article published in Ace magazine, Britain's best-selling tennis magazine.
