What is Rehabilitation?
Rehabilitation aims to enhance and restore function and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities caused by injury to the muscles, bones, tissues and nervous system. Exercises are prescribed by physiotherapists and are chosen specifically for each patient to improve their movement.
What should I expect on my first visit?
The physiotherapist assessing you will take a full history of the problem and conduct a thorough assessment of your movement. You will then be given an individualised treatment plan which may include stretches, strengthening or mobility exercises for you to perform at home.
What can Rehabilitation help to treat?
Common conditions treated by rehabilitation include low back and neck pain, post surgery, all sports injuries.
Long Term Rehabilitation
If you need longer term rehab on a 1.1 basis, we also have a rehabilitation consultant who can provide rehabilitation services following on from your initial programme with your Physio.
